 The 120 cm celostat and a 90 cm spherical primary mirror feed the telescope to provide f/56 or f/78 Cassegrain foci where a spectrograph is mounted. All mirrors were made from sitall CO-115 (analogue of Cervit). The spectrograph is equipped with the double channel magnetograph. Dispertion in the working 5th order of grating is 0.1 A/mm. Guiding and scanning systems of solar image use an additional independent optical system from the same solar beem.

Main observations are magnetic fields and velocity in active regions, global magnetic field of the Sun, solar oscillations.

It was shown that solar flares occur near the neutral line of the longitudinal magnetic fields or near the areas of a strong magnetic shear. Study of global magnetic field started at this tower in 1968 shows that the Sun is look likes a big magnetic dipole, rotated with main synodic period of 26.92 days. The observations of solar global pulsation started in 1974 were the first step in the study of solar interior by new methods of helioseismology.

 


 

 The 60-cm coelostat, 45-cm spherical primary mirror (f/27), one flat and two convex secondary mirrors provide f/27, f/46 and f/78 Cassegrain foci on the entrance slit of a spectrograph. There are an echelle-grating, Universal Spectrophotometer with a scanning system and a CCD camera.

Study of spectra with analyzers of circular and linear polarization allowed us to determine physical conditions in solar flares, moustaches and to model active processes and their evolution.

The part of the Sun with coronal hole obtained in the HeI 10830 spectral line.

Study of evolution and differential rotation of the solar large - scale background magnetic fields and coronal holes has shown that the background magnetic fields can not be explained by the diffusion of the active region fields and that the nature of coronal holes differs from the nature of the background fields.


 

  This telescope with 21 cm one lens objective (f/17) and equivalent focus 5 or 13 m is equipped with Halle 0.5 H-alpha filter is used as a chromospheric telescope with registration on 35 mm film. You may search obslog for the observational data obtained during last years.

From the 50th the Crimean Observatory actively participates in the World Solar Service. Observatory carries out measurements of the sunspot magnetic fields and takes part in the flare patrol and observations of a solar radio flux in several wavelengths.

Methods of solar flares forecast have been developed and operative forecasting is provided during many years.


 

 The Lyot type coronograph with 53 cm one lens objective (f/15) and Coude focus is equipped with a 8 m diffraction spectrograph (f/20), 0.5 H-alpha birefringence filter and a device for photographic registration of linear polarization in details of solar emission.
